Day 6: Monday, Sept 8, Free Day, we pay all meals, Hotel Flamingo Las Vegas
Slept late.
For breakfast, we ate snacks in our room, Greek yogurt, chocolate chip muffins, and water.
We walked 7 miles around Las Vegas. We walked to the Venetian Resort, hotel, and casino.
We rode the monorail as far south and as far north as it would go. We got off at the MGM Casino. We walked through Caesar's Palace and the Bellagio Casinos.
We went shopping at the Miracle Mile Shops: A vibrant shopping center with over 170 stores and entertainment options, located at Planet Hollywood.
Lunch was eaten at Waltham Burger's, where Hubby and I split a double cheeseburger, tater tots, & raspberry cheesecake, and spent $50.34.
We stopped at CVS for some Blister packs and spent $1.40. I used a $4 coupon.
We ate snacks for supper: peanut butter and crackers with water.
It had been a long day, so we returned to the hotel, wrote in my journal, and watched some TV. Took a shower and went to bed.

Day 7: Tuesday, Sept 9, Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, Boulder City, NV
Breakfast consists of snacks in our room: strawberry Greek yogurt and Chocolate chip Muffins.
Took the elevator to the first level, walked outside, and took photos of the sanctuary: pink flamingos, brown pelicans, fish, ducks, and waterfalls.
Step on guides( Paco & Bryan) join us for a tour of the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, and historic Boulder City from 8:30 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. at the Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel, R#7072
Our first stop was at the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign.
We had to wait a few minutes because the city Council was holding an event to raise awareness about alcohol and fetal health in front of the sign at 9 A.M.
We rode through Boulder City, then onto Hoover Dam.
We walked across the bridge above the dam.
Then we went to the Visitors Center and the overlook.
Went to the gift shop, didn't buy anything
We visited Boulder City, then walked across the bridge at Hoover Dam, and then visited the Hoover Dam visitor center. Took a lot of photos of markers here.
We stopped in Boulder City, walked around the downtown area, and toured the Historic Hotel, where we also ate lunch.
Lunch at 1933 Bar & Grill, Boulder City, NV, where Hubby and I split a meal of fried cod, salad, fries, and iced tea.
After lunch, we loaded back onto the bus and rode to Fremont Street, where we toured several casinos. We saw the world's largest golden nugget at the Golden Nugget Casino and a stack of $1 million at the Horseshoe Casino. Bought some snacks at the ABC store.
We saw a mimetic, and I got my photo taken.
We stopped at the ABC store, where we bought 3 Mountain Dews, a Coke, a cookie, and Cheetos—spent $24.68.
We rode through the Fremont Street district, then onto the Strip.
Brought our package back to our room.
Took a shower, then bought tickets to ride the High Roller, and spent $75.00.

We walked down the street to where the High Roller's was located, saw several of our group there, and they wanted to wait until dark, but we went on up.
It was so neat. They took our pictures before we rode the High Roller, and we spent $44.00 for one photo.
You had to be quick to load onto the roller.
The roller is 559 feet high, and the ride lasts 30 minutes.
After the ride, we began our journey back to the hotel
We stopped at Ghirard, where we purchased a mini hot fudge sundae and spent $15.12.
We walked back to the hotel, the Flamingo, stopping to take a few photos
Worked on my journal and went to bed.

Day 8: Wednesday, Sept 10, Two Nights in Arizona
For breakfast, I ate a muffin, a couple of oatmeal cookies, and water.
We had to have our bags ready for pickup at 7:30 A.M.
We arrived at the lobby at 8:30 and were on the bus by 9:00, heading to Kingman, AZ.
Our first stop was at Sinclair Travel America.
Arrive @ TA Travel Center 946 W. Beal St, Kingman, AZ @ 11:15 A.M.
My Hubby bought snacks, spending $11.33, and I ordered a cheeseburger and onion rings at the Black Bear restaurant next door for $14.86. We ate lunch on the bus.
Depart for the Mojave Museum of History and Art, 400 W Beal St, Kingman, AZ, @ 12:15 P.M. Bought ten postcards and a 2026 calendar, spent $13.
We also visited the Route 66 Museum and the train displays.

Breakfast @ the hotel: muffins, blueberry yogurt, egg, sausage, and water.
Depart for a guided tour of the South Rim of the Grand Canyon National Park at @8:20 P.M.
Our guide met us at the hotel we stopped at in Cameron.
We ate lunch at Maswik Lodge in the Village @ the Grand Canyon, and spent $21.91. Also bought a purple long-sleeve top and some postcards, paid $46.05.
Arrive @ National Geographic Visitor Center, where we will enjoy an IMAX movie about the Grand Canyon @4:30 P.M.
Depart for dinner at 5:30 p.m., arriving at 7:00 p.m. at Black Bart’s Steakhouse, 2760 E. Butler Ave, Flagstaff, AZ. (Prepaid dinner and musical revue)I ordered a steak, baked potato, salad, biscuits, butter, and iced tea. We had vanilla ice cream covered with Cool Whip and drizzled with chocolate

Arrive at 10:30 A.M. at the Petrified Forest National Park Rainbow Forest Museum in Holbrook, AZ, where several members of our group walked the trail.
Depart for the Painted Desert Visitor Center & Oasis Restaurant, arrive @ noon.
Lunch: BBQ sandwich with tater tots, Diet Coke. At the Painted Desert Visitor Center, Petrified Forest National Park, 1:32 P.M., spent $19.38.

Day 11: Saturday, Sept 13, New Mexico, Texas to Oklahoma
Breakfast at the hotel: raspberry yogurt, a muffin, and apple juice.
Depart for Amarillo, TX @ 8:30 A.M. (set your watch ahead)
Last night, one of our group members got sick and was taken to the hospital.
They are going to keep her for a couple of days.
They thought she might have a blockage.
We rode to the hospital to take them their overnight bags.
We left the hotel around 8:30 A.M. The night before, my nose started running.
Now my head is stopped up and I'm sneezing, and I spent most of the day sleeping.
We stop at the Sana Rosa NM rest stop at 11 A.M.
We stopped at Arby's in Loves, where we had lunch and spent $11.95.
I got a parfait and three cookies at Subway
Hubby got two corndogs and a pickle.
Arrive at the Kwahadi Museum of the American Indians, 0151 I-40 East, Amarillo, TX, @ 3:30 P.M.
There we saw a small live rattlesnake crawling under the bus. Inside, we watched three young American Indians dancing. Everyone joined in dancing with the Indians.
Depart for Oklahoma City at 4:45 P.M. (Dinner on your own.
Dinner was at Arby’s in Amarillo, TX, at 8:14 PM, where I spent $11.95, ordering a slider, fries, and water.
Arrived at 10:15 P.M., Hampton Inn Northwest, 3022 NW Expressway, Oklahoma City, OK R# 507 took a hot shower and took a Benadryl before I went to bed.
