What is the craziest thing that you have done during the Christmas Holidays?

Well, let me tell you about my crazy Christmas episode.

My life is always rushing, rushing, rushing!

Christmas Eve is a special time for our families to get together, as it is with many families.

After having Christmas with my parents, I had to attend Christmas at my sister-in-law's house.

But for some reason, this Christmas Eve, my mind was muddled!

My thoughts were running in so many different directions.

It was a foggy night, raining, people in a hurry, driving fast, and the headlights beaming in my rearview mirror.

I hurriedly turned into the subdivision of my in-laws, for I was running late.

Giving no thought to where I was, I hurriedly jumped out of my car and headed for the back door.

I opened the door without knocking and walked inside.

I looked around, and I knew no one!

To my amazement, I had walked into the wrong house.

Oh my, what have I done? Where am I?

What was more amazing was that I was greeted with a "welcome.”

I heard the words, come in, make yourself at home, grab a plate, and fill it up.

I immediately said, I cannot stay, for I have walked into the wrong house.

It did not bother them at all.

But they said, at least fix yourself a plate of food, or at least take a baked potato with you.

I gracefully said no, thank you, and politely left.

Walked back to my car and carefully drove to the correct house.

When I walked into my in-laws' house, I said, Guess what happened to me.

I began to explain what had happened, and everyone laughed.

But hubby was not surprised; for he said you are always doing stupid or unusual things.

The moral of this story is to pay attention, watch where you are going, or you could end up like me, being greeted by strangers in the wrong house on Christmas Eve.

AM I CRAZY OR NOT? POEM

I often hear people say she is crazy, but what do they really mean?

Do they mean I am affected with madness or insanity?

That I should be put away in a sanatorium or hidden away in a dungeon? 

Or my actions make me appear to be senseless or foolish when I constantly write notes to the boy I like but never give them to him.

Can it be that I have a fantastic or ridiculous dream that someday I will become a beauty queen?

Or am I the oddball of my family acting totally unsound or bizarre.

Like wearing a clown hat to a baby shower or like attaching bird feathers to my swimsuit.

Or maybe I am full of energy and work like a mad dog to finish painting my room before the sunsets.

Or can it be I do foolish things like buy shoes of every size and color while my closet is bursting at the seams.

When I show great enthusiasm at a ballgame by shouting “Way to go,” “hold then back”.

When someone tells a joke and I do not laugh, I am said to lack a sense of humor.
