We left there and rode to Wheeler Wildlife Refuge.
We arrived around 111:00 A.M. and I took over 200 pictures.
There were several great stopping places to take pictures.
One was in a little Red car with dice dangling from the rearview mirror with Ava at the Wheel.

We rode to O’Bryan's in Hartselle for lunch, where I ordered a petite sirloin steak with sweet potatoes, and my Hubby ordered a Delmonico Steak with a baked potato and salad bar. Ava ordered a hamburger, fries, and doctor's pepper.
Ava ate her fried food but did not touch her hamburger. Took pictures of Ave standing next to the Christmas tree, one sitting on the fireplace, one in front of a gasoline pump, the back of an old car, and one sitting on a fire truck. The decor features a retro front end of a Chevy used as a counter, with the backside serving as seating. There is a room where you can sit in a car and watch TV (like being at a drive-in).
I went to see the Sandhill Cranes, Ducks, and Whooping Crane while Ave and Hubby stayed in the automobile. Thousands of cranes fed on the grain left by farmers. Several people in the viewing area were taking pictures of the birds. Six Sandhill Cranes were sighted, and I saw three.
I walked down to the edge of the water to get a closer look at the cranes.
I did not stay long because it was cold. We saw an inflatable Santa atop a car dealership as it left Decatur. They stopped by Mike's to see Atlas after dropping Ava off. Atlas was driving his 18-month-old Jeep, still sucking on a pacifier, and moving it everywhere. He knows how to make it go, but still does not understand how to control it. It had been a full day with all the activities, Wass was ready to lie down to rest.
